My sister booked an emirates flight but she's not interested in the miles. I'd like to be able to transfer them to my account whoever its $25 USD per 1000 miles which doesn't seem worth it. There is a 20% family pool option which is terrible. Are there any other options to transferring useless points into anything else? e.g. Emirates/VA/QFF etc.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Not sure of the transfer option but if really not interested Emirates miles can be converted into Westfield vouchers

I just registered my Skywards FF number with my sister's booking. It seems to have gone through without any issues. Does this mean my Skywards miles won't expire for a little longer?

NO
miles have an expiry even if you earn more miles how stupid is that??

and has she flown yet? as I doubt you will get the miles unless you are talking about a family account which is useless .

It might be if you were using the miles to upgrade or get an award ticket. So why do you need the miles?
