Transfer from cruise docking at Yokohama Japan to Haneda Airport.

I am disembarking from a Princess Cruise in Yokohama ( port for Tokyo) and Princess Cruises advise they only provide ( at a cost of course) transfers to Narita Airport , but I have already managed to get PE seats with Qantas Classic F/F points from Haneda Airport.

Can anyone suggest best why to get there from the port of Yokohoma. Flight departs 10.00 pm for Sydney.

I would just get a taxi. It is only around 30 minutes away.

Otherwise you can walk to Nihon-Odori station in around ten minutes and get a train from there to Yokohama station to get the limousine bus or another train, but not worth doing with luggage in my opinion.

Taxi to limousine bus at YCAT might be a good compromise between price and ease, I suppose.

I assume you're arriving in the morning, so have plenty of time.

You could just go for the taxi, but it will be very expensive.

If you are not adverse to walking about 1 km, Nihon-Odori train station is the nearest one to the passenger port. According to Google Maps Street View, the walk doesn't look all that bad (i.e. not that you have to dodge vehicles on a superhighway or something). From there, take the train to Yokohama station (terminus of the line; next stop in direction of travel will be Bashamichi). Then, change to the Keikyu Main Line to Haneda Airport at Yokohama station. As I would understand it, since both of these lines are operated by different train companies, you'll need to buy two tickets, one for each journey around the transfer. Google Maps Directions estimates the fare to be JPY 660 and total time to be about 40 minutes.

There is an information counter at the port building's second floor (2F) who can probably also help you out.

Technically, yes. In practice, all trains will continue on to Shibuya and beyond.

Including expressway tolls, the taxi fare should still be comfortably under AUD100. Taxi company Nihon Kotsu's calculator puts it at 7,030 yen.

Never realised that Yokohama was so close to Haneda!

Taxi isn't too bad at that price if you have 2 or more. I'd be happy to take the trains but can carry my own luggage easily.

Sorry, can't help here but we usually go for private transfers to ensure that we get there on time with minimum fuss, even though it can be more expensive.

+1 for Taxi, but then if you disembark by a early time in the morning, and then you have the whole day to kill.

Let me ask my Japanese friend for best solution, because there may be a luggage service for your bags from the wharf to the airport.

This luggage service is very common in Japan and extremely cost effective.

Very true but the luggage service don't guarantee same day service so this is unlikely to be an option. Keen to hear if it is, though.
