Ahh yes what makes a good pub... for me its the publican and staff (a lot like airlines really)

agree with the gastro word and company pubs yuk

Personally i like the small village or corner city pubs, but Aust could learn a thing or three from the way they have changed to the market in the last 10 years.

My fav -the Eagle and Child, Auckley Doncaster, lots of beers on tap and a very warm fire on a cold December day.
