Hey guys, I'm finally about to set off on my first Suites trip SIN-JFK, then return on J, LAX-NAR-SIN-BNE.

Does anyone have any tips for me that might not be talked about much? For eg, I read on Flyertalk that the CA Maple Leaf lounge in FRA is nicer than the Senator lounge? Is the lounge in Narita for SQ the best lounge to go on my return leg? Any tips for the lounge in LAX?

Sorry for all the questions, really just want to make the most of this trip as it's been a long time coming! Thanks in advance :)

First tip: Diet in the weeks before you leave.

You certainly won't be running out of food on that journey. It looks like it will be fun.

I did that trip back from LAX to BNE on the same route in 2010. It's a long way and had a bit of cabin fever by the time I got back. From memory the flight into SIN got it at 1am and I was wide awake. Left the airport and went to the city just for something to do. Was back at SIN easily in time for the 9:30 departure that time.

As for the Suites trip enjoy. Use the F check-in area if you are checking in in SIN.

On board in F just ask and I think they can make anything happen.

Enjoy

Don't be afraid to ask for any spare suites to be your 'bedroom'. I try and do it early before anyone else ;)

Also the Singapore Airlines bears are worth asking for, either as a memento for yourself or as a gift to someone else.

Cheers plutonus, there are 3 other seats taken on the plane so far, and we leave Monday. So hoping there are all the right side seats left to use as a 'bedroom'.

My wide really wants a bear! Fingers crossed they have one available.

As a couple we were offered the spare centre suite for sleeping. This was a nice touch we thought. So we sat together when awake, then had the suite behind us for sleeping.

That reminds me, you can also take your meal sitting opposite each other in one of the suites. It's kind of nice have a restaurant style setting and being served at 38,000'.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
