Wonder if we want a thread for those silly little mess-ups we can ascribe to the work experience at QF?
Flying SIN-SYD on BA (economy plus), then SYD-BNE on QF (after arriving CMB-SIN on UL)
So the good news was a) the op-up on the SYD-SIN (on BA) a couple of weeks ago, and b) the text message yesterday advising of successful points upgrade for SYD-BNE.
The bad news: after the points upgrade success, I was no longer able to do anything with the booking on the BA site, and went to check in early (arrived v early into SIN), and nope, not issued, no ticket number.....
After several hours, and several phone calls, turns out that someone at QF managed to mark tomorrow's SYD-SIN flight as flown... (not surprisingly this caused a bit of confusion in the electron-shuffling machine at BA)....
I know this has been a strange itinerary (getting home has been GLA-LHR-CMB-SIN-SYD-BNE), but flying sectors in the future is not one of my skills. I may be a Dr, but not THE Doctor! Finally got a call back from both BA AND QF advising it's all sorted, and indeed I am sitting in QF lounge ... only minor glitch is that my BP for SIN-SYD doesn't show status, despite BA AND QF trying to reprint (and FF is in booking). How will they know who I am?
Could have been very annoying, was mildly irritating, and all resolved... was more worried that carefully chosen seat allocation would have been lost. But all good. Now for that now salt caramel Brownie I picked up from "awfully chocolate" at City Hall earlier today... (when one has one of those, what can disturb one's serenity?)
Adieu
