Having reduced my RPT travel in the last year, I've been downgraded from WP to lowly SG. *Sob*

Now I face the embarrassment of using the SYD Int Business Lounge. My clients think this is hilarious and are threatening to get photos of me slumming it in there.

I have checked the meetup section of this Board and there's nobody available to guest me in. So I'll have to sneak into the Business Lounge without anyone seeing. However, being a good AFFer, I've never been to the SYD Int Business Lounge before and don't know if there are other ways to get in.

My question to you is: Is there a way of getting into the SYD Int Business Lounge without doing the "Walk of Shame" past the Flounge?

I have never tried ;)

Fear not russ, anyone loitering around the entrance to the SYD FLounge (as opposed to being ensconced upstairs enjoying a massage or better class of bubbles) has less entitlement to be there than you with the plebs in the International Business Lounge!!

Regards,

BD

You could avoid the area altogether .... and head to the EK lounge instead (if it's open):)

The terminal maps available online don't give much away, but from personal experience I've only ever used to escalators to get to the J/F lounge... but there would of course be a lift as well. I can't tell where this is, but you may have luck if the lift is closer to the J lounge entrance.

Russ, what BD said is unsound. Even though there is logic to it, you yourself will KNOW that you are a failure. A failure, and deserving of that shame.

There used to be an alternate way, but I suspect it is blocked off by all the DF construction at present.

Own your shame Russ! :) Also you might have to change your avatar location details ;)

RPT = Revenue Paid Ticket?

I've pulled the LTG parachute but don't plan on walking pass the Flounge anytime soon ... next visit <two weeks. Status is so yesterday :D

Thank you all for your support during this difficult time
It looks like I'll have to wear some dark sunglasses and hope for the best
Does the QF SYD Int J Lounge have any dark corners I can hide in?
Do they have food and drinks in there, or is it BYO?

Rugby: I've just updated my avatar location
amaroo: RPT is Regular Public Transport, as opposed to charter and private operations

Never been to the QF Int J lounge, that's one lounge I wish never to see how it looks inside. I imagine it's a dark place with bad lounge dragons that only serve warm tap water :p

Afraid the elevator is (almost) right in front of the F Lounge also - to the right as you exit the escalator at the top.
Either way, you'll be passing it - using the elevator though exposes you for slightly longer. ;)

Love your style russ

PM me when you are in the (shudder) Int J lounge and I'll send down a glass of Champagne, with a note in big letters:

Please deliver to Russ, who is in the Int J Lounge (wherever that is)

Be sure to send in a diplomatic bag - or the plebs might try and snatch it.
