The view from my "office"

If in Sydney you should drop in to Turramurra Music at Turramurra. Tell 'em prozac sent you you'll be looked after. ;)
Thanks for that @prozac
Hard pressed to get him to Sydney but you can never under estimate the lure of music - have lost count of the music related places I have spent time in over the decades - Tennessee 1999 through to Denmark Street London 2017, Brook Street 2018 ( gotta say more Hendrix than Handel!) the list goes on 🎶

Owner was in 70% of the aussie bands I was in.

My BA JFK-LHR office this morning, then the arrivals lounge. Slept for most of the overnight flight. A shower is always most appreciated after a longhaul flight.

Picked up a rental car to drive home, swap bags and then back to LHR with a lovely traffic jam.

Tonight's "hotel" office is ET down to ADD. Very glad the plane was swapped from the older 2-2-2 layout to 1-2-1 staggered.

The new amenity kit isn't as functional BUT it does still contain a stick of lip balm still, instead of a tube or paste. Hooray!

Was directed to the Air Canada lounge at LHR T2 except... it closed at 5.30pm. SQ seems closed for renovation, so it was off to UA. It was a zoo, but I found a seat and got some work done so all good.

Reminds me as budding musos in the early 70's we'd drop into Palings in George St (Sydney) and play the Fenders and Gibsons. Bought our first amp there, a 60W Goldentone, no it was an Acetone, from memory. If in Sydney you should drop in to Turramurra Music at Turramurra. Tell 'em prozac sent you you'll be looked after. ;)
Or later 70s. Harry Landis had the most Fenders and Gibsons at that time. Just don’t play Smoke on the Water or Stairway to Heaven 😄

One of my closest friends owned Guitar Crazy at Coogee from the late 80s. Biggest collection in Southern Hemisphere. Charlie unfortunately died way too early from motor neurone disease in 2022.

Was that the shop in Market or Park St? I thought it was mainly amplifiers.

Like the owner of Eagle Music in Dee Why, gone too soon.

It was in Park St.
Guitars along left wall and middle aisles I think.
Amps on right side and a few like AC30 size in the middle maybe
A friend bought a flying V there.

Bidvest Sky Lounge JNB - access with Priority Pass 7.30am

not too bad for a domestic lounge, fairly comprehensive food offering with lots of drinks available (+8 x red, 8 x white wines, half a dozen beers, a couple of ciders available from 10am)

Very much behind with my VFMO.

Hunterian museum in London. Lots of exhibits people may find confronting, including the bodies of a set of quintuplets born at 25 weeks. Two died stillborn, and the others died within two days. I won’t attach photos of those.
