The topic heading is said tongue in cheek !
I certainly enjoy the wealth of advice from seasoned travellers on this site, BUT it raises all sorts of other problems for me.
Everyone has an idea about what is the better route, airline, FF programme.
I am a procrastinator by nature and feel more relaxed going into a store to buy jam and just having to choose between 2 jars: strawberry or apricot. :)

Tongue in cheek tone doesn't work on internet forums and is easily misunderstood.

Perhaps, "We are spoilt by the availability of choice"

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The worst thing is when you think you have a pretty good idea of the allinaces you want to be a part of and use, and then the muppets all go and start devaluing their offerings and changing the earning and buring of points/miles/status...

Then you have to start all over again...

I am a procrastinator. I also make spontaneous decisions. Can't decide which I want to be.

Don't worry what everyone does. We are all not the same. Be adventurous, try different routes, try different aircraft, try different airports, even experiment with different frequent flyer programs. You will then have an opinion and to be honest that's the only opinion that matters.

After some time surfing the net I am now looking to book and pay rather than use my FF points.

Virgin (or Delta) PTH SYD LAX then DCA as it seems the most direct, least time waiting at airports, shortest flight times and cheapest - and I get Velocity points.

head hurting though !
