Just thought you might find this interesting...

There is a promotion being advertised on the Qantas website at the moment for the chance to win 100,000 points if you purchase FF merchandise. If you read the terms and conditions, the value of the prize is specified as $1,600. I interpret this to mean that Qantas are charging the partner company $1,600 for the points - so 1.6c per point is what Qantas values them at!

Very interesting!!!!!!!! If you read the history inthese threads I made a post about the fineprint they had in a promotion a couple years back where they said 50,000 points was worth $1,500 AUD.

100,000 = $1,600 - IS
50,000 = $1,500 - WAS


Points are a waste of time now IMO.
