TG - do some economy fares not accrue miles?

Last night, my Dad expressed his frustration with their TA. They have been going to Thailand once per year for about 8-10yrs and have not earned any FF points for their TG flights. Dad's theory was that the TA buys flights from wholesalers, and TG won't give points for flights through the wholesalers.

i'm not familiar with the Royal Orchid program, but a quick look at websites this morning shows there may be some fare buckets on intl flights that are ineligible for points earn. Is that right?

I am of course excluding the possibility of FF numbers not being entered, etc, etc.

According to TG royal orchid 'members handbook'

"Discounted rates... With travel agents... Often do not qualify to accure points. "

Points also expire after 3 years with TG. So I can't imagine there would've been enough points to do much with anyway.

Save your frustration for something more worthy.
