Nah, you sometimes see it really cheap !
They used to have great J prices compared to QF (Not checked recently), but the OMG o'clock start on the way back is a killer for people who like to sleep in.

I've been looking in Aug and its about 690 (D) SYD-AKL and 230 (I) AKL-SYD

.... and in J the fare is $A617.12 return which gets you 80SC each way.

I was looking at one of these at one stage. It's certainly much better value from NZ.

SnowYeti, if you need to make those SC, as per your other thread, perhaps a visit to NZ would be worth it. If you booked a single SYD - AKL, then a return AKL - SYD - AKL, before a single AKL - SYD, you'll find it'll be cheaper again. It wont qualify for the double SC promotion, but it doesn't have to.

A quick price up gives me $630 over, $616 return from AKL, $291 back to SYD. All up $1537. Maybe a little undervalued right now, if you had booked earlier, it might have been cheaper.
