Status runs to retain silver/attain gold?

Hi everyone!

I am currently a velocity silver member looking for ways that I might retain my velocity silver membership, or maybe attain gold? I took the opportunity to status match last year when I was QC Slvr (recently hit gold).

The bulk of my travel is with QF, but I'd like some options. I'd rather not travel with an airline I don't have status with.

I'd really appreciate some assistance! So thank you in advance!

Best going right now are the double SCs for J travel. Some pretty cheap SCs can be had http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ty/business-class-launch-double-sc-35921.html

With your silver status match, you'll need to retain this year or be bumped to red, no soft landing from silver I'm afraid. Realistically, going for gold is a great option. Can be had reasonably cheaply just now and gives you benefits that neither DJ silver nor QF silver come close to.
