Hi guys,

I will be going to Europe for the first time next week with SQ.
I will be arriving in LHR and staying in London for 10 days. From there i will be flying into other EU countries,
and then a month later, fly back into LHR and staying overnight to catch the returning flight to SIN with SQ.
(My only reason to fly out of LHR to SIN in the return leg is to try the SQ Suites )

I was just wondering, will i get questioned by the UK passport control officers about my itinerary ? (Especially the entering and departing LHR twice part?) I do have printed copies of all my flights.

Thank you.
Marcus

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I can't see it being an issue as long as you have your accommodation booked and can clearly demonstrate your flight out (which you can). Many people would do a similar thing to you.

As the others have written, I haven't found it to be an issue either. Our last trip through on holidays, we had been in the UK for a couple of weeks, and flown onto France. Two weeks later, we flew from Paris/CDG to Heathrow on BA into Terminal 5, and then had to get our bags and head over to Terminal 3 for our Qantas flight home. We had to clear immigration and customs, to stay at Heathrow for several hours. I showed them our flight e-tickets and there were no problems.

I was asked for a copy of my ticket once. I showed them the flight on Tripit and he said if that was an app then it wasn't valid because you could put anything in there. I'm a paperless person so was trawling through the emails looking for the email from Qantas and he said you're obviously not phased by the request so don't bother. The stupid thing is that it was a reward booking and I could easily have booked the flight and got the email and cancelled it for 5000 points

You can of course be queried anytime, any reason. They may have a 'campaign' on when they are checking for certain behaviours.

Just have you documentation with you and it'll be fine. I did almost exactly the same thing 2 months ago. No problems.

It's a PITA but you virtually have to carry hardcopy of everything these days ' just in case'.

Thanks for everyon's helpful and interesting replies :) Yeah, in spite of this digital age, we still need hardcopies just in case !
