Unexpected Hong Kong trip has popped up and thinking about staying somewhere new. St Regis opened last month, have never stayed at a St Regis property - what are they like?

Maybe a bit of an off topic but I have previously stayed in St Regis Macau. Service is top notch with personal butlers who will attend all your needs.

The one in HK is very new and I think u should give it a try. It’s not situated right in the busy centre of Wan Chai or Causeway Bay but it’s quite convenient, it’s a short 3 mins walk to the convention center and 8-10mins walk to Wan Chai MTR station. Cheers!

St Regis is supposed to one of the high end Marriott brands. We've stayed at St.Regis in Singapore and Osaka and was happy with both. I would have a look over at Flyertalk but I am sure you are already on to it!

Thanks to both of you.

Might be decided with a toss of a coin...... St Regis - because we can use points for the kids room..... Rosewood - because it looks so bloody beautiful!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Rosewood would be nice too. It’s got breathtaking views and very nice bar!

The coin was tossed - Rosewood it is.

Jeez, we might have dodged a bullet with all the (legitimate) fuss going on in Hong Kong .... mind you, just about all of our restaurant reservations are over on the Island.
