I wonder what this will mean for the cost of KrisFlyer redemptions (unless Saver seats have appeared sporadically for such J seats already). Would be rather unfair for KF members to pay Standard or Full prices when the rest of the world is eating up seats.

I wonder if part of this is pressure from the USA based FFP members. They are very much the most vehement in complaints when they cannot get the seats that they want (and of course most notably on carriers much better than their own, i.e. everyone else).

I have been switched off the A340-500 to the A380 in early July to go LAX-SIN and it lands in Singapore at 3.05 am and I go to PER at around 9.30. I do hope SIN can get a better time slot as 3 in the morning is not really that friendly as far as an arrival time.Any way it is a J seat on a lovely plane for Standard points and the J lounge in Changi is ok for a lay over.My September LAX-SIN is still on the A340-500.Are the connection times for flights out of SYD any good for the A380 or does it appear to be a stand alone aircraft going SYD - SIN-SYD?

Methinks this announcement is premature.

Am forced to concurr DF - I booked 2 x J savers SIN-MXP for Cruisette and myself on the 77W earlier this year when a 'glitch' on SQ's Australian site occured after they commenced the Sao Paulo flights - but they soon rectified that.

I have seen several similar reports over last 6 months - but in my experience ALL these opportunites disappear rather quickly as SQ become aware of them.

Still it's great to live in hope.
