Hi all, Finally retired and now have time to start traveling. Many years ago, in 1983, I joined the then named Flight Deck Club in its first months of operation. I took out Life membership with a spouse option. Unfortunately, I never kept the original paper work after 30 years, though with constant changing T&C Over the years, maybe no point. Membership has been a fantastic investment and enjoyed many times in the lounges, quite often in the meeting rooms.
My question. I divorced many years ago. Kept my ex wife's QC Card. She moved overseas to live and does not reside at my address. I want to change the details of the card to reflect my current wife of 10 years. Every time I talk to the QC staff, I seem to get a different reasons why a new spouse is not eligible for my Life + Spouse membership. Mostly it seems because QC now see membership as an individual person identity, rather than a "spouse/partner" identity and you can not transfer memberships!!
QC view is also that when I travel with my wife, she automatically qualifies for entry due to my Life Membership. I agree we never have any issues when traveling together. My issue is some times she visits her parents in Japan without me and would like access to the QC lounge..So, any one with any knowledge about how I resolve this conundrum would be gratefully received.
Regards
Ged
