I've noticed a few retailers in Melbourne offering discounts on Samsonite luggage, 50% in a few places.

Also considering Mandarina Duck (an expensive Italian brand) which is also 50% off. Also saw the Sub-Zero-G range in a shop and was impressed by how light they were, but internet reviews seem to suggest they may not be that durable.
