Hey guys, waiting for a meeting starting in two hours time and sooo not in the mood to do any real work in the meantime. The entire week has been a bit like that (needless to say that next week is entirely frantic and my calendar is blocked almost 24/7 ) so I'm done with the following:

  • Checking all my frequent flyer accounts several times
  • Making random air bookings to see what kind of flights I could do to get a week out of here
  • Making actual bookings to get out of here foreseeing having enough
  • Checking websites like Qantasrumors and the likes, simply to waste time
  • Posting on here which is my favorite past time lately
  • Having a couple of rants on tripadvisor, always fun :D
  • Keeping track on what's happening at Farnborough which unfortunately, has been rather uninspiring as well for the most
  • And finally, even reading random air travel related entries on Wikipedia like the intriguing order list for 787s which is truly geeky indeed

So, any good suggestions beside the above? Nerdy air travel sites in particular where you can spend hours of time (which you would never do if it was YOUR and not your bosses' time ) are very welcome!

Tripadvisor is always amusing for hotel reports etc.

Oh yes, it is! I particularly like the idiots who sometimes post there. Like the following:

"We stayed at the Hilton resort in [enter dodgy 3rd world country here] and they didn't even have Starbucks in the lobby! My husband then left his wallet open by the pool and it got stolen but, shock horror, the Hilton did not want to reimburse us for the loss! Sleep quality: Zero. Bed quality: Zero. Service quality: Zero."

:D:D:D

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I love doing google searches on "Trip Advisor Worst Hotels" as well as reading reviews of motels from my home town (tragic I know!) and having a good laugh

I also read The Points Guy every day (though very US based, sometimes some good info or news)
