Looking to replace my Sony HX90V; a similar model would do, but it seems all similar Sonys are 'out of stock' on their web site. I assume because of covid chip etc issues?

Anyone with insights as to Sony's supply chain, prospects for stock ramp-ups?

Alternatives? I want 30+ optical zoom, Bluetooth/Wifi, +20Mpx, <$600 , GPS desirable; RAW not needed. )

This seems OK to me PowerShot SX740 HS - Your favourite travel companion although no GPS.

In the vain hope of future adventures, I try to keep track of imaging devices.
It seems to me that in recent times, the industry has produced very little in the way of new products for the travel market.
Folks want grunt (sensitivity) , reach ( zoom ) , and functionality (bluetooth et al) … and there is really nothing new on offer.
I suggest you invest some time in the dpr site, read the reviews and form an opinion.
If I flew for an adventure tomorrow, I would take the best of my 2 ancient and battered FZ200's or perhaps a new FZ1000
FZ1000's are already quite old but very robust and competitive in the bang for your buck comp…
Why would I pay mega $$'s for a Sony that will wilt in the wilderness when the Panasonic is as tough as teak ?
