Hi folks,

I've been a bit down on VA lately, and have started steering some points to QF again for the first time in years, but the programme worked well for me this week, so thought I'd share...

I'd been trying to get flights organised for a trip to the US and Canada late next year. I was a bit disturbed about the lack of availability showing despite the fact the dates I wanted are more than 300 days out, but some popped up this week and I've managed to get transpac flights booked that are almost ideal, J both ways on the dates I wanted - VA into LAX on the way over and Air Canada out of YVR for the way home.

So, good work VA - the SQ points transfer is really handy in combination with your other alliances! Shame the completely broken website meant I couldn't make the VA booking myself and had to call in (doesn't show availability if there's a connection between VA and DL as far as I can tell).

Cheers,

Danny

Rather than start a new thread, I thought this one may suffice.

I can be critical of VA (Lord knows there's plenty to be critical of) but I thought I should offer some congrats where due. My last few VA flights have been good. The whole process was streamlined and easy and the J cabin crew performed as expected. This morning a capable Kerry was looking after us and he did well. I'm now wondering if VA have given the crew a "despite difficult times, don't lose sight of the ball" type lecture. If so, good. It's about time. Keep it up and you may find those lucky enough to be able to negotiate the pathetic web site, may actually return to buying tix.
