I am 67 points short of being gold, after going from red 3 months ago.

I travelled on a delta ticket to Orlando return, got all points and status for reach sector except the mel-lax. This has kept me from the elusive gold.

Two more domestic flights without gold status, still doesn't get me there, and I sit looking sorrowfully at the lounge I can not enter. I used my two free entries when I hit silver.

A couple of emails and 22 days have now passed since my first email, which I waited 14 days to send after the flight. So 36 days.

Strange how some points and status show up but one sector, the first sector, has not.

I am also waiting on miles and SC's from a Delta flight - 4 legs alltogether BNE-LAX-MCO return. The LAX-MCO and return legs have posted but still waiting on the BNE-LAX and return legs. Contacted them yesterday, told it will take between 4 and 12 weeks to post. Seems a long wait, and like you I need the SC's for Gold status.

The other interesting thing is, but probably not relevant, is the flight I am waiting on was on virgin metal, not delta.

I remember having the same problem when I went to the USA this year - a random flight at the start of the journey didn't show up, then I got my VX points a little while later, and then a little while later after that I got the double points promo that they were running - they just trickle in :)

I'm on my USA trip atm and am having the same issue.

With my domestic delta flights, it would tip me over to silver and I may even get to gold if make some changes to my flights. However its been one week since my first flight with delta and nothing has come through on my velocity account. My MEL - LAX flight with VA metal came through straight away, but nothing from delta.

I'm coming home in 2 weeks and was hoping I would be at least silver by then if not gold, but doesn't look like it.

It's disappointing as I had a flight with united on our third day, which I had linked to krisflyer. Those points and sc's went through next day!!

I was expecting more from delta, especially given the time they took to set up the partnership with VA and the fact they have existing partnerships with so many other airlines. To me this should be a simple transaction!

Is everying sending an email to the [email protected] address to enquire re their missing points, or contacting delta directly?

Sent a copy of ticket to the "retro" address. Like wallacej the flights for which I am waiting were DL flight numbers on Virgin metal - specifically V Australia (BNE-LAX return). The flights on DL metal (LAX-MCO return) were credited within 24 hours!

Still nothing. I will send an email to the retro address and see if there is any joy from that.

And still I await. I sent the email to retro and other than the auto response, nothing! Any person had luck making a call and speaking to a person? Surely it should not take this long.

To finish off this saga, points credited in January. Seems the best answers come from retro. Now gold has been achieved the hard way, discounted economy. Now to work on hitting platinum!

Sent from my GT-P7500 using AustFreqFly

Yeah it's cough how long velocity takes to credit third party points. I stayed at a Mirvac resort 8 weeks ago and completed a retro claim 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing. One word... Useless!

Im also waiting for SCs and points from two VA operated flights as part of a Delta trip. Mel > Syd from 5 weeks ago hasnt credited but Syd > LA and LA > JFK on Delta metal on the same day credited about a week later. Reverse is also true, Las Vegas > LA > Syd on Delta credited a week later but still waiting on the Syd > Mel leg. This was only 2 weeks ago though.

Have put in a missing points claim and have kept the boarding passes as these will let me requalify for Gold.

Is it normal for codeshared flights to be issued a boarding pass with DJ flight numbers instead of the codeshare flight number? Thats what makes me think is the cause of the delay, the flights arent in the Delta system so it hasnt been sent across for crediting but for whatever reason DJ hasnt picked up on it either.

Interested to ascertain how one actually gets points from Delta. I have booked 4 trips from BNE to LAX on VA in PE then from LAX into Cincinnati with Delta. The entire trip was booked on VA website yet never once have Delta pts or status credits appeared in my account. No amount of asking VA has yet to yield a solution or answer.

Also, interesting to note as side-bar, Delta seem not to recognize VA status as EVERY LAX to CVG flight I have been row 33 which on 737 is one step away from restrooms!!

If it helps I booked mine (or my travel agent did) through the Delta website. My flight was:

MEL > SYD > LAX > JFK > MIA > MEM > LAS > LAX > SYD > MEL

All except for MEL > SYD and SYD > MEL was on Delta metal and all flights except for these credited (including family pooling) into my Velocity account about a week after the flights.

I did have a look at my MEL > SYD and SYD > MEL boarding passes again last night and there is no mention of it being a Delta codeshare or the Delta flight number so it will be interesting to see who I should be taking things up with should my points take any longer to credit. It also shows that the fare class is C which doesn't have a corresponding entry in the Status Credit Earning table. These legs were booked in K and Q class through the Delta site and am expecting Discount Economy SC and 1 point per mile.

No Delta never recognised VA status but we had booked early enough we were able to select seats forward of the exit rows on each flight but this made it awkward as we were also boarding in Zone 4 and there was very little overhead space left by the time we got on.
