Hello! I'm writing a story for an aviation magazine about Virgin Australia Regional Airlines.

I'm looking for high res photos of Skywest in the Ansett era for the history bit of the story.

If anyone can help me out please let me know

There's one on Wikipedia (File:Skywest Airlines J31 PER Wheatley-1.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). It's not high res but it is creative commons. There is a link to the source (a site called myaviation.net) with an option to contact the guy that took it. Good luck.

Not a photo, but I have a Virgin Blue receipt and Itinerary for their first flight Per-Kgi from 2005 when at the time Virgin were going to compete against Skywest and Qantas. Two days before their inaugaral flight they cancelled all plans to fly to Kalgoorlie. Some say that there was a bit of "insider trading" going on. The ticket cost $96 back then currently they cost between $250 and $300. Also funnily enough on the day that they were meant to commence operations a DJ 737 had to make an un-scheduled landing at KGI whilst enroute from Mel to Per (my mother was on that flight).
