Just wondering why when booking flights to Canberra with Skywest I always seem to be pre-selected - as Platinum - a seat that is right at the back of the plane rather than towards the front?

Does Skywest disembark from the rear door only?

The 500s are rear door, 600s will have both when they arrive soon.

Just noticed that my seat for tomorrows flight to Canberra with Skywest has now been changed from 17C to 2C...Does this mean the aircraft has been changed?

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but the subject line seemed appropriate at least. :)

Has anyone booked a J reward flight on one of the Skywest AT7s between BNE, CBR, and SYD (e.g. VA657, VA632)?

edit: Please ignore me. I just noticed that the only J reward flights that are available on this route are on the Virgin Australia E90s, which says to me that there are no J seats on the AT7s.

Sorry about that!

Skywest flights earn as for VA operated services as they are a VA coded flight. I would be cautious about J reward flights as there is no J class on ATR's. There are 3 services a day that are Embraer which do have J class. On the VA site under flight planning you can get a list of flights with the "scheduled" a/c type showing. VA 637 is generally an embraer with J class. VA 652 is normally an ATR with no J class. The ATR component of your fare would earn as a Y fare.

Hi KCMil

Looking at booking a VA J reward seat Syd-Cbr-Bri and the syd-Cbr leg is on Flight VA630 which says is a E90 aircraft.
Do you know if the E90 is an Embraer and if so would have a J class.

E90, short for Embraer 190, has 6 business class seats in 1-2 configuration spread amongst 2 rows.
