Was wanting some insight from the SQ loyalists...
On KrisFlyer, is the SIN-JNB-CPT service credited as one sector or two? Furthermore, have these aircraft been refurbed? Or are old-school 772s like the ones that go to FCO still used?

I took this flight in October. It only credits as Sin-Cpt with Velocity, not 100% sure if you credit to KrisFlyer. Old 772s I'm afraid. You stay onboard at Jnb.

For any airline, where booked on one flight number these sort of journeys only count as one sector - like SIN-HKG-SFO or on QF SYD-LAX-JFK on QF107. As for the seats, I believe (I could be wrong) they are using the 772ER like they use to FCO however they are in the process of upgrading these. The easiest way to tell is looking at the seat map on SQ website. If J is 1-2-1 then it is the refurbed aircraft but if 2-2-2 the it is most likely the old 772ER ( although it could also be a refurbed 772 non ER that has new regional J seats.)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
