I don't know if everyone else had a smooth experience or not, but this is mine so far...

I attempted to sign up online, but it was rejected - apparently someone else has the same name or something (or it just seems to be a convenient excuse). So then I tried the telephone, since there was a number there, I thought I'd try it.

After giving this guy my details, repeating it a few times (and spelling things out too!), I had to reiterate that I'd like FF mileage, not hotel points, I eventually get a membership number (but no password). I've tried to get the website to email me a password, but to no avail. Apparently the account doesn't exist.

My level of apathy means that I'll have to wait until I get to the hotel itself and ask them to verify if I have a membership, and if not, sign up there and then...

Just as a follow up - since the trip is over and all is done and dusted.

I was given an acknowledgement via email about a week later, so managed to login.

I note that the guy on the phone had misquoted the member number to me, so when I checked in at the JW in HK, they told me that number was invalid, and they were unable to lookup my member number (I had to find it myself via the email).

In the end, I got ~2000 pts into QFF. If I had let them set my account to accrue Marriott points, that would have been stuck there - since I did not enjoy my experience at that hotel, I won't be willingly rebooking there!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have just signed up today. Booked Marriott Courtyard in PRG and clicked on "Join today" on my reservation confirmation. Everything worked OK.
