Daughter will be getting AREX train from Gimpo (GMP) to Seoul station

She needs to get to the east side of the station - specifically Hanggang-daero street

Appreciate Anyone who can advise approx cost of ticket and if there are any tricks to get to that side of the station

I understand the AREX will be eastbound on the AREX local from GMP and westbound on the AREX local to GMP

You need a smartcard: the cost is very economical.

If one takes the express AREX from Incheon to Seoul, the fare is higher than the stopping all stations AREX, but the express does not stop at Gimpo.

The fare from Gimpo to Seoul for a single (one way) adult passenger is KRW1250 (A$1.42.) Cheap!

Exits are typically signposted in English. It's subjective but I found South Korea on multiple visits to be easier to get around in than Japan, because of what I perceived as the wider use of English in South Korea.

South Korea is an underrated tourism destination: it's incredibly different from Philippines, coughet and Bali, and has its scenic highlights (not in the same league as Japan) and terrific trains for one to travel around on. I didn't warm to the food but many Westerners will.

Excellent comments - with the exception of the food where I'll disagree :) Korea has easily the best tasting, highest quality and most diverse cuisine in Asia

Google Maps has numbered exits for most Seoul stations. Looks like there is a choice depending on which side of the street and where exactly

Arex platform from ICH and GMP arrive at the very bottom underground level (all stops) and next level (non stop to ICH)
Look like the main exit for Arex is number 1. The other exits are mainly for the Subway which is not part of the Arex line.

Daughter says everyone exited from Exit 1. It's so easy to get around it really did not matter.( There may be other exits for the Arex platforms

Apparently google maps don't work in Seoul but Apple maps do
