if you have any oneworld elite status (ruby upwards) you can get exit rows for free.
otherwise, bulkheads are good (usually fairly decent legroom).
there aren't really any other 'good' seats on the 772... perhaps one of the seats at the back of each cabin on window where it narrow to a block of two rather than 3 seats.
