San Fran on AIRNZ

Hey all

Just a quick one - I am heading to San Fran in a few months and instead of the LAX transfer I was thinking of using the AIR NZ flight from Auckland. From Brisbane you can get the whole was on the 777.

The main reason is teh Premium Economy product is much better (at least on my visual impressions)

My question is 2 fold.

1 - Is the NZ Prem product work the extra $790 bucks it will cost
2 - As a Platinum will i still get the same Status Credits and Points on AIRNZ as if i was on VA7

The San Fran flight is probably the space seat which I personally didn't like when travelling to the US. Its great for sitting and watching shows etc. but as soon as you want to sleeps its really pretty bad.

I'd probably prefer prem econ on the VA flight into LA with the regular style seats.
