Reward booking SIN end of school holidays - book now?

Am a rookie redeemer of hotel rewards, so if this is the wrong spot, or the answer is elsewhere... please let me know!

Managed to accumulate some Priority Club points, and am planning to use this for an overnight at the Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport on the way home from the UK at the end of the summer school holidays.

I can book a night now for 40,000 (only King bed available - less suitable for the 3 of us - :-|), but was wondering if there is any wisdom in waiting for the next Pointsbreak to see if we get lucky?

Rewards night can be cancelled, and points returned, does that normally go smoothly, or are 'fees' incurred?

Book now and lock it in Eddy, it it pops up on points breaks its a 2 second process to cancel and rebook, no fees normally but do check cancellation policy when booking, I have seen reward rooms with fees in the past.

Thanks Markis10, all done! There appear to be no fees if you cancel before 6 pm the day before.
