Review Date Past, Can I access NZ Koru Lounges with Valid for one month after excuse?

Hi Guys,

My review date for Gold was the 16th, I didn't retain it but just sent away to Virgin a week and a half ago as company has an agreement to receive Gold and earn 80SC in 3 months to Retain of which I will earn as got a bit of flying with Virgin as want to give them a shot!

Flying to NZ as Gold last year got Space + and Koru Lounge acess but this year haven't been able to select Space + seating online, Apparently only able to do it at a Kiosk or over the phone?? But have heard over the phone they won't recognise Gold and wont let people do it so who knows! Hopefully the Kiosk will let me do Space + as a Gold.

But I want access to the Koru Lounge in AKL as got a bit of time up my sleeve so wondering even though Review Date is 16th April can I use the Gold card to give me access by using the "Card Valid For One Month After Review Date" on the back will NZ accept this?

Fingers crossed I will be bumped back to Gold for anohter 3 months by next week but they seem to be a bit slow these days with the upgrading through the company. But still wouldn't have the new card anyway.

I will qualify the following by pointing out that I have never tried it... However, as you say, the card is valid for one month after review. If you're nice, but firm, you should have no problems. I know that some people have had problems with Delta lounges, specifically angels not knowing the VA rules. If the Koru angels knock you back, just politely ask them to check the rules and show them the validity annotation on the back.

I personally have had nothing but good experiences with Koru.

Try taking a printed copy of the rules with you just in case you need them.
