Revealed: Air Pacific’s New A330′s | flymefunky.com

After months of nail-biting anticipation, Air Pacific (or should we say Fiji Airways) has finally released details of its new aircraft livery and revamped cabin product to be delivered on its new A330 aircraft. The new birds are expected to take to the skies next year.

Dave Pflieger, Air Pacific's MD and CEO, today said:

"The unveiling of the new look and features of our soon-to-arrive A330's is the latest milestone in a series of initiatives that are a part of the Air Pacific's restructuring and rebranding. We couldn't think of a better way to honour Fiji's national day holiday than to share a first glimpse of the exciting things in store for Fiji and our passengers".

What do you think? I love the cabin and the product. Much nicer than the current offering (obviously) and will ensure a more comfortable ride for passengers. Wouldn’t mind a stop in Nadi if I’m ever flying to the US - - hopefully Air Pacific's pricing stays just as competitive.

Wholeheartedly agree - I really like the way they've managed to stamp it as Fijian without making it look like an island stereotype, which the 'tropical colours' of the current theme did. (Although I do acknowledge the whole point of Air Pacific was to not look overtly Fijian, so arguably the current scheme did that well - but it didn't entice me into flying with them).

Absolutely... the current island theme is a bit gaudy and tacky.

I don't believe there is any word on when the rest of the fleet will be repainted (or - we can hope - refitted)

Loving the colour scheme and the patterns on the pillows.

Looks wonderful and very contemporary but not devoid of warmth. Also warming to the rebranding to 'Fiji' Airlines

I'm probably the only person that truly enjoyed the old world charm of Air Pacific on the 747, right down even to the very old and outdated J seats. I do realise it would make no financial, or otherwise, sense to fit a brand new aircraft with seats from the 90's, but feel this colour scheme is a bit sterile. Perhaps it'll warm on me when I seen the real product and not a mock-up, but for now it's not Fijian... tail is pretty cool though, and love the design on the engine cowlings and a big FIJI on the bottom!

Looks good to me! Australian Business Traveller also have an article up, photo gallery plus info on the seats and AV system, with a video as well (I think they were flown over there to attend the launch?).

In that article there's a photo at the end of the CEO sat in one of the seats, but coloured brown, not white, actually looks a lot nicer...

Looks good...they remind me of patters on some Tapa cloths I purchased in Lautoka many years ago.

Looks a lot better than then very tired current look of both the inside and outside.
