Out of interest, would I be able to submit a retroactive claim for miles, for a flight that I took as part of a tour package?

I flew with Asiana between Hong Kong and Korea.. um, not sure what other details I'd need to provide. I'm already aware of the claim process, but just want to know if the claim is possible, or whether tour flights are in some kind of class that's exempt from points accrual.

Thanks!

Hi zzyss, I am afraid you have dog's hope of getting anything, as it was an airfare/hotel package and very reasonably priced, your asssumption is correct. To keep you attuned to what the airlines need, however, they need the original boarding pass (make sure you copy it), proof of payment eg c/c statement (blank out your # and anything else you don't want the world to know) and of course your FFP#.
Having said you have no chance, I would suggest you try, what's to lose and you never know your luck in a big city. I have claimed on award flight upgrades, 2 months after the flight by which time I had forgotten how I paid for it, and been credited the points, regards bkkrop

The boarding pass shows that the class was YG, which I'm assuming is Y + G, which means that under the rules, can't be claimed, right?

Singapore Airlines

An eligible flight on Singapore Airlines (on any booking class except V, Q, G, N or T) and SilkAir (on any booking class except V, Q, G, N, T, W or L), or any eligible transaction with our other partners.

For SQ KF, You must be booked in the following fare buckets on OZ for mileage accrual 100%–B, E, H, K, M, Q, S, U, Y 70%–V, W.

Gosh you're up early :)

That looks like gobbledegook to me, but I'll assume that since YG (or even just G) doesn't appear anywhere in that list I shouldn't bother trying. Thanks!
