I've just got off the phone with Qantas after calling them to ask for my status to be upgraded from Gold to Platinum for the next year.
I'm about 100 credits shy thanks to a travel agent booking me a BA code rather than a QF on one trip and was told I was too far off to be moved to platinum - "only 5-10 credits max".
Has anyone successfully reasoned with customer service on this issue? How did you manage it? I travel constantly for work, did about 8 long-haul EU/US trips in the last year, and will do the same again this year.
I'm not sure if I should call again and hope for better, email someone, Tweet, no idea. Any suggestions or experiences are appreciated.
