Hi Everyone,

In the next 2 weeks I'll hit silver on the way to the US, and Gold on the way back, only to then leave a few days later for another trip over to Asia for a month.

As I'd like to access the partner lounges for my flights, is it possible to get my gold card sent overseas or a replacement whilst travelling? From what I can tell, there is no digital card either?

Your status should be printed on your boarding pass so show that to the staff when you arrive at the lounge.

Oh, that's something I didn't even consider. Cool, thanks.

Depending on when your status updates it can take up to 2 weeks for the partner to receive and update thier system. Also if possible once updated, remove your number from the booking and add back in again so the PNR is updated corectly

or...download the App which has the digital card inbuilt.

Do they have an android one out yet or still only on iphones?? I didn't see one on a brief look. It was one of the things that annoyed me immensely with VA.

Actually very annoying that, why they would only make an iphone one when there is more androids phones out there, hell there is even nearly more Samsung phones alone now. I am an iphone user right now however I tend to swap a lot. I asked virgin not long after they released this app when the android version would be coming, the response was "stay tuned the android app will be arriving in the coming months" That was well over a year ago now :\

its not that hard to port it across. Just another area they lack in.

I've got a similar situation facing me later in the year.

I'm presently Platinum and my review date is July 20 with a card expiry date of August 20. I've already re-qualified for Platinum but the problem is that I'll be traveling to London late July and not returning to Sydney until September which means I'll be overseas when my new card turns up. I'm going to have to rely on using the iPhone app to display the digital version of my card showing my Platinum status when returning from London on EY.

VFF has told me that a digital card will be available later this year that can be used with the Apple Wallet app.

If you have already requalified –try calling VA and explaining the situation , they might be able to send your new card early to avoid issues

I misplaced my card and was given access to EY F lounge by showing the luggage tag on my backpack...

I changed from Blackberry to Android* at the end of last year, and even then they still had a functioning BB10 App available in BB World. Not often you see BB customers serviced when Android isn't!

*technically still with BB, it's now just a BB with Android not BB10

But in answer to the OP post. If you call the desk they can rustle up a letter on letterhead confirming your status (inc. expiry) and send it to you within a day (via email). It helped me out in a European port when flying EY (with everything else I had inc expired card) when I was OS for 4mo during my review period.
