What do AFFs do when they have a rental car and the hotel they are staying at only has valet parking?
Just interested as I presume most insurances for the rental usually specify that the driver must be listed on the rental agreement?

I always use the valet parking, have never given it a thought.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have asked this very same question to Hertz in the US on a trip there a few years ago, and was told that they didn't consider it to be a problem, and that valet drivers weren't considered to be an "additional driver", though I'd still like to see that in the T & c's before I completely trust that advice. Same as driving on public non sealed roads. In theory not allowed but unofficial
accepted?

If you worry about that then you can rent with hertz and take the maximum cover. It means that no matter what is the condition of the car when you return it, you don't have to pay anything extra.

Or make sure you annual travel insurance covers rental car excesses. A pain cos if something happens you'll need to pay and make a claim, but if you rent regularly it'll deffo work out cheaper...

Thanks everyone, seems I am just paranoid. Will "wing" it then (I have an annual travel insurance policy and CC policies as well)!
