Hi, I have recently traveled MEL - LHR in QF metal. I am QF platinum but want to credit to AA for the recent status challenge.
At the first lounge, the host insisted me having the QF number on the boarding pass, or I will be denied access to first lounge.
I think no problem, can just change it back to AA before boarding.
But when I try to do so later, the first host told me they already closed the flight so they cannot change the FF details without re-opening the flight, which they are reluctant to do. So now the points have landed into my QF account contrary to what I really need.
Is there any way to reverse the points from QF and then initiate the retro cliam from AA ?
Anyone care to comment on this ?
Red Roo, if possible, can you please clarify if this is possible and what is QF policy on accessing the first lounge ?
Ie. Does the Platinum membership has to be on the boarding pass or just the platinum card should suffice.
I have done so with CX no problems at all. Just show my BP and OWE card. No question asked.
Thanks and regards.
