Hi all.

I've done a bad bad thing with an ex TPE D class (or maybe it's I) ticket.

I forgot about the return sectors and I just looked them up and realised I was ment to fly them 1/10.

Has anyone else found them selves in this situation? What likely hood to I have in getting them reinstated?

I am un sure of the fare fules as I didn't print them :(

Your ideas and suggestions are most welcome!

I don't like your chances. Most T&Cs on even the flexible fares require notification within 24 hrs of a missed leg. Think you might have lucked out on this one.

You might be OK

Thanks Markis10. I tried to find the fare rules lastnight. But fatigue and general annoyance with myself prevented me finding them.

One thing I do note though it I'm sure my validity was 6 months. So rules may have changed.

anecdotal evidence suggests you should be fine, i've heard of instances where people in HK have offloaded themself at the airport before the TPE sector and CX have proactively rebooked to a future date on an I Class fare!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This is good news. I started to get a little upset with myself when I realised I let it slip by.

I would just call up CX res but have the copy of your eticket itin/receipt with you as fhey'll need to look at the fare type so they can rebook you in a new pnr.

Your original pnr won't be able to be retrieved as there are no live segnents in it & more than 48 hours had elapsed since 01 Oct being the dates of your last flight segments.

You can also get a partial refund if you can't fly. I think I got abut A$400 back a few years ago (for a TPE-SYD J fare)

That may be true, I just have a natural preference to email non urgent requests. It minimises my "wait" time.

Lazy me. I finally got around to calling them yesterday. Rebooked in December with no penalty. No rebooking fees. Nothing. Very impressed.

Hi v8Statesman,
I tried to do the same but CX would not extend the deadline by even a few days. What number did you call?

I was still inside ticket validity. Just was a no show on booked sectors. I called the international toll free 800 number for diamond members (I was QF WP at the time). Quick and easy and completely pain free. I suspect if you're trying to go outside ticket validity you my have issues.
