Ready to ditch Etihad, is it just me or the sentiment is share by others?

I have been Etihad Guest Gold members for almost 4 yrs now, and I find the price comparison to other UEA flights now is getting out of hand.

To go to Australia from Saudi, in Dec Etihad selling at 10+K SAR while Qatar can sell on the same date for 6+K

Now to go to London for January period Etihad selling 5+K SAR while Qatar still in the 3s

I think I am now ready to ditch Etihad and forego my status, and start building another status to other airlines


Ooops meant to ask if anybody feeling the same?

Loyalty is only relevant to the punter if the following phrase is present: - "All things being equal...."
So fly QR this time, but next time EY might be worthwhile.

ps. personally, I'd fly SQ for AUD 6900 on the Oz-RUH route and I'd fly Royal Brunei or QR on the Oz-LHR route.

It has been a year I watch the price differences. I compared EY, EK and QR quite often, later I even found RJ and MAS are worth my attention. I still stay with EY despite 10 out of 10 last trips of mine EY charged me more, but ... it was in the order of SAR100 to SAR500 differences at that time, with that I thought that it worth to keep my status.

However, the last 3 flights I was looking for are quite shocking

Personally, I think all EY, EK and QR has their own goods and bads, in average, they all pretty much the same.

I've stopped using EK 4 yrs ago, but I also see that Royal Jordan as well as MAS are kind of keen on doing their expansion, so there is still a hope in the horizon.

My main travels are from DMM or BAH to LHR, SYD and CGK and I still see many other airlines do that routes.

Anyway, this coming trip I am still using EY, this time however is going to be on points, I have over 300K on my account to be cleared
