I earned SPG Platinum 100 last year, and was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to find out when your status expires?

I have a number of bookings this year, so don't expect to lose it, but there doesn't appear to be any way on the SPG website to find out when your status rolls back to gold, or, expires completely? The website just says that I am Platinum and have 0 nights YTD given the new year.

What is the SPG policy on re-qualifying (besides, 50 nights for Platinum).

It doesn't seem to appear anywhere on the website (when you go into your account details). This seems to be an unfortunate oversight.

But the expiry date of your current status does appear on the actual card they send you. The card shows your name, your SPG number, and "valid until XX/XX/20XX".

far out that's alright, 2 years from your qualify date!

Interesting to know whether I retain Platinum 100 after the end of year has rolled over.

I've emailed my "personal concierge" hah. I'll let you all know what she has to say!

She is an 'Ambassador.'

And yes, it pays to ensure you requalify later in your membership year than earlier, as you will always have at least 12 months of Plat membership.

FT has much more info on this.

Not really, it pays to qualify as soon as you can at the start of each calendar year. For example, if you qualify or re-qualify by say 31/01/2013 [eg. 25 stays], then you will enjoy platinum status for the rest of 2013, have platinum for 2014 which is the "re-qualifying year". If one fails to meet the requirements in 2014 year, then the Platinum status disappears the following year, end February eg. 28/02/2015.

Officially, the above is true if one requalifies by December 2013. Qualification retained until 01/03/2015. See SPG Platinum Expiry - FlyerTalk Forums

However, there are reports that qualifying after a certain date meant FT'ers got an additional year.
