Friends, frequent flyers, countrymen, lend me your opinions -

Courtesy of a few AAdvantage points, I'll be in Europe at the end of the year.

I'm looking at coming back from Rome FCO to SYD via LHR with QF in F.

One possible itinerary is arriving at LHR from FCO @ 0945 hours and not departing until 2130 hours on QF2.

With the above, would BA print my QF boarding passes and interline / check through my baggage?
I like airports and people watching, and wouldn't mind sitting in the Galleries First lounge (and other lounges!) for 12 hours or so, hence am wondering if this is an option :).

Any opinions / thoughts appreciated.

I see no reason why BA would not be able to issue onward boarding pass.

I have received boarding pass in the past from BA in BRU and ATH transitting via LHR-HKG-PER-SYD.

Yes, I have done this in tha past and was given both BP's and bags sent through. I usually go into London for a few hours, and in fact will be doing this next week, but I don't have the F lounging option to tempt me to stay airside. Enjoy it Mark Anthony.

I have spent a similar amount of time in the F lounge at T5 and it was a very long day (wife was also ill which didn't make it easier). The fact that you will be in the carphole that is T3 is something I would not see as fun, an option or something to be considered...
