Query on connecting from HA flight HNL-BNE, onto VA BNE-SYD

I have a HA flight to HNL-BNe (VfF award redemption) and connecting to Syd on a VA flight. Separate tickets.

Wondering if VA grant me train access between terminals? What happens to the bags? Do I have to cart them with me?
