My wife & myself are both members, last year I finally cracked silver membership (hooray for me !), my wife is still bronze. My membership expires 31/7/16, my wife's expires 30/4/16. She is very close to & will get silver at that stage.
As we almost always travel as a couple, how do we align our membership expiry dates to coincide ?
I've spoken to Qantas & they admitted that they had never had this request before & were puzzled as to how to do it. Their final suggestion was for my wife to take out a new membership during July 2016 (this would then have a common expiry date with mine), Qantas would then recognise that she had 2 memberships & would ask what one she would prefer/use. They then would transfer all points & membership entitlements from the expiring account onto the new account.
Does this sound OK ? Has anyone else done what I am trying to do ?
I'm concerned that the Qantas suggestion seemed to be made up on the run, when the time arrives, it will not or cannot be done without her losing any points.
Any suggestions, comments please ?
