QF96 LAX-MEL diversion to BNE this morning

Just noticed that QF96 from LAX to MEL was diverted to BNE this morning.

Does anyone know why? I don't think the weather was bad this morning?

Just curious :)
 
It's been freezing in MEL lately, I don't blame them for wanting a bit of warmth :)
