QF1 and Dubai?

So 3 says till i do the Qf1 to london via dubai. Question I have as a 1st time OS traveller is how long in dubai and what lounges if flying J and platinum? Plus is it worth pre booking food?
 
You will have access to the EK F lounge at DXB due to WP status. J CoS is irrelevant for this part. Proceed to near gate A13 and you will see the escalators off to the side to take you up.
