I am taking my extended family to Athens in September and wanting to fly QF ( or Emirates on a QF flight No) as we can use the QClub.
4 adults and 2 infants will leave Syd on Fri 2 Sept returning to Syd on Fri 16 Sep.
2 adults will leave Mel on Fri 2 Sept and return Fri 16 Sep.
As I am paying I would like the best price and I was wondering if there is a cheaper venue to book other than Qf. I have 160,000 points but there appears to be no availabilty.
Any advice would be great, thank you.

There are cheaper third party sites but I personally don't use them - you lose to much in terms of flexibility if there are any issues. Return fares look to be circa $2K on the QF website, this doesn't seem extortionate for September. Also, the sticker price is often lower then the credit card / payment fees beef the price back up again.

I take it you have multiple Qantas Club memberships as you won't get 6 adults in on a single membership?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I would suggest booking the SYD-ATH trip directly with Qantas because infant ticketing could be tricky and it's usually not worth the hassle going 3rd party. Currently, the best price for SYD-ATH on the dates AU$ 8,237 without payment fees.

For the MEL adults-only itinerary, here is an OTA that I usually use:

DeNa Travel MEL-ATH
AUD 3,695.84 for 2 pax

In total, the entire trip will cost you AU$11,932.84. Alternatively, you could potentially save some money by just flying Qatar or Aegean/Singapore and by using paid lounges.

Thanks greenfish and magnacartic. It appears direct booking thru Qantas is the best. There doesn't appear to be any prices that are much lower.
