QF SIN return from most OZ capital cities

How reputable are the companies that you are referred to from the IWTF site?

One of the AUD440 PER-SIN return fares (via mytrip.com) I checked is selling on the QF site for AUD585. I note that searching direct on the mytrip.com site shows the price as AUD560 (discounted from AUD585) for the same flights.

Normally, if it is too good to be true, it probably is a con or dodgy in some way....

IWTF has been around for a very long tme and reputable as far as i know and the crowd over at OZBargain would sure let all know if not.

They vary of course and it's always worth googling them to get an idea of other people's experiences. There should be a few threads on AFF.

The price may potentially be legit, but you might find if you try to book that you get a message like "We're sorry, the price has changed! Airline seats sell fast so it's always best to book as quickly as possible!" with a higher price shown. (This might be deliberate to try to game the price-scraper websites.)

There are better scenarios and there are worse scenarios, and no way of knowing which you'll experience.

You may not want to take the risk with an international itinerary or one that could require changes. Getting through to "customer support" for some of these OTAs can make QF wait times seem like a walk in the park!

It's possible to get the best of both worlds by booking directly with QF and then using the price promise (not everyone has time for this, but you get credited 1k pts for your time). Bestjet, which IWTF often redirects to, has an ABN/ACN which makes it suitable for claiming. Avoid getting screwed by a third party OTA through hidden service fees and nonexistent support. QF's support isn't great but booking directly with an airline is generally the safest option.

Useful recent comments on OzBargain:-

my flight combination was the best value through 'flyfar'. after putting in the passenger and credit card details, i got an email advising

"There was a problem with your flight booking and unfortunately, your reservation failed to come back in a timely manner with a valid airline confirmation number. Your credit card has been charged for the original amount, please contact us immediately at 1300 014 402 or +61 2 8880 0392 (open 24/7) to complete your reservation."

When i got through to the operator they said the price of my ticket had gone up and they wanted an extra couple of hundred dollars to complete the transaction even though they had already charged my credit card the amount quoted on the website.

IWTF should consider whether they want to affiliate themselves with such a network as flyfar sounds like a big scam. I've had no problems with others such as bestjet.

I had a bad experience too with that website, not as bad as yours but I got charged an extra $100 on a $500 flight because they changed me In a foreign currency even though it was not notified anywhere.. was about 8 months back so I can't remember the finer details other then the missus was pissed at me for a week lol

1 hour after they informed me by phone that the price was [un]available, they are still showing it on their payment page.

Their prices are literally taking up the first 28 pages of search results in IWTF.
