Hi all!

I'm off to Europe soon and am taking quite a few flights on Vueling codeshares (BA and Iberia). BA and Iberia are both partners with Qantas but when I try to put my flights into the SC calculator, nothing comes up.

The routes I'm looking are are:

EDI-BCN (ticketed by BA, operated by Vueling)
AMS-NAP (ticketed by BA, operated by Vueling)
SPU-FCO (ticketed by Iberia, operated by Vueling)

And then there are actual BA flights that still aren't coming up on the SC calculator, like:
LHR-PRG (ticketed by BA, operated by BA)

Does anyone know whether I'll earn SCs from these flights? And if so, how many?

Thanks!

I don't think Vueling is a oneworld airline or affiliate so you will not get any QF points or SC's for those flights, unfortunately.

The LHR-PRG leg shows up on the SC calculator for me. You get 10 SC for discount Y, 20 for Flex Y and 40 for J.

It's not, but all the flights have BA flight numbers - isn't it the flight number that matters when it comes to collecting points and SCs, rather than the metal? According to the T&Cs:

9.3.1 Subject to the exclusions in clauses 9.3.2 and 9.4, Points for air travel may be earned only for paid travel or Points Plus Pay - Flights (excluding for the avoidance of doubt any Classic Flight Rewards) on regular scheduled flights where the Qantas flight number or the flight number of the applicable oneworld Alliance Airline or Airline Partner is shown on the Itinerary ('Eligible Flight').

9.3.2 For the purposes of earning Points, Status Credits and the Minimum Points Guarantee, Eligible Flights exclude Codeshare Flights where the Operating Carrier is Qantas, a oneworld Alliance Airline or an Airline Partner aircraft, and where another airline's flight number is entered on the ticket, unless that flight has been specified by Qantas Loyalty as an Eligible Flight. It is the responsibility of the Member to check whether a proposed booking is eligible to earn Points, Status Credits or the Minimum Points Guarantee and if so how many Points or Status Credits will be earned.

So codeshare flights operated by oneworld but with a non-oneworld flight number don't get SCs... but there's no mention of the opposite situation!

It totally worked this time round! Must have been a screw-up on my end. Thanks :)

The two of us just flew a flight from DBV to FCO this week which was ticketed as IB, flown on Vueling metal, no points or SC's sadly. Whilst on the same ticket we also flew FCO > MAD along with MAD > BIO on IB metal, and points and SC's posted immediately to our accounts.

The opposite situation is to be found in the earning tables, and it is not as people are stating here. Have a look (https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/flying/airline-earning#ba). If you look at another airline, (say Iberia), you will see the text
Qantas said:
Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes, except on Iberia and Iberia affiliate codeshare flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld alliance airline.
Note that the limitation on codeshare flights is not mentioned on the BA earning table..

That bodes well for me! Certainly worth giving Qantas a ring afterwards and seeing if I can get the BA/Vueling flights credited then. Thanks basso!

If anyone has taken a BA/Vueling flight and would like to weigh in, that'd be handy too!
