Have read all the fine print in the QF website and understand what applies for a WP when it comes to carrying extra bags above the 3 bags (up to 32kg) for a QF WP traveling in Y from LAX-SYD on QF metal.

Some questions,
1. Where do OWE holders from other airlines, AA CX etc stand, are they considered the same as WP holders when it comes to the fees for carrying extra bags on Qantas metal from the Americas to Australia (up to 5 extra pieces).
2. If the flights are on an AA codeshare rather than a QF flight number does this cause issues with extra baggage charges.

The extra allowance for emeralds is an extra 1 piece in this case (US travel). In Y, that would become 3 x 23kg pieces, in J that would become 4 x 32kg pieces.

Understand this concept already, for example, say I wanted to take an extra bag, in other words, the fifth bag in J, would there be any difference between what the WP and AA EXP would be required to pay and would traveling on an AA flight number LAX-SYD make a difference when the QF website states that you need a QF flight number.
