QF&EK J+F off SIN to cruise Ovation OTS

Thought I would give a live trip report a go as I am flying EK F on the A380 for the first time, very excited about my first shower in the air lol!

Heading up to Singapore to check out the new RCI ship Ovation of the Seas. Starting off flying QF J SYD-MEL to enjoy lunch the in the F Lounge before picking up the EK A380 MEL-SIN. Hoping I can work out how to upload pics from my mobile along the way!

Trip started with a comfy ride to Sydney airport in an E class courtesy of the Chauffeur Drive service

Yes got it working, although some want to rotate 90 degrees and have to edit them before posting to get them straight!

Just snip (crop edit) the very bottom of the photos before posting them. Through the edit function on the phone. Then they post the right way up.

Had some great views of the coast taking off, the water close to the coast was really murky as a result of the recent weather. Today was a perfect day for flying though!

Had an unrefurbed A330 today, the config with the middle seat conveyed to a 'table'. Service was great. 3 choices for 'morning tea' I had the trout salad which was so delicious I forgot to take a picture until I was half way through

Other choices were a warmed ham, spinach and brie croissant or a fruit salad. Followed by tea and coffee service.

I didn't bother with any bubbles as I figured the Perrier Jouet and Taittinger in the QF First lounge would taste much better!

Started lunch with some coughtails (highly recommend the Gimlet)!

Shared the sticky pork salad and salt & pepper squid to start then the Duck and Braised beef for mains. Yum! Beef went down nicely with the 'Rule Shiraz'!

Finished off after mains with the warm chocolate brioche! Retro Roo was pushing back too.

Had to go and do a TRS claim so figured we would stop by the EK lounge to check it out and have a glass of Veuve.

Finished the bubbles and then headed back to the QF First lounge.
