Hi guys
I usually fly with the enemy so haven’t booked through qantas much. I got a family member to transfer 32000 points to me in order to book a business reward for myself and my son on a 747 domestic flight (he is mad keen on the 747 so want to do it before they fissapeat. Business reward is showing as 16k each + co-payment but won’t allow me to go beyond options in the booking process. It will allow me to do it if I choose economy or a single business (there are 2 business rewards showing and it doesn’t work on other flights either). All I can think is that I need slightly more than 32000 points. Would prefer not to pay $54 for 1000 pts and don’t want to bug my brother to transfer more points (he transferred me the 32k while I wait for my cc bonus to clear). Is this a known bug? Have tried calling qantas to book over the phone but the hold times were crazy (I’m bronze of course). Thanks gurus
J

Come on guys lets try and help OP we have another thread to be sarcastic about tomorrows announcement.

Where is it to and from? You might just have to ring and use callback option if points required is not the issue

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Weird! I could eventually bypass this by electing to hire a car on the side dropdown menu?? It would then let me get past the options page!

And they say virgins IT systems have problems! Anyway, all is well that ends well! 2 seats upstairs on a 747 for me and my son!!! Stoked and he will be too when I give them to him for Xmas!

Just track the booking and make sure it isn't replaced with a 737!

I know it’s a risk but if it does happen not much I can do. Since it is a positioning flight for the Antarctic flight I am hoping this is unlikely??? Fingers crossed!

Wonder if there will be any difference in points after the announcement tomorrow?
